I tried to disconnect from computer and power and then reconnect - same error message. For some reason, I cannot get to the Epson website - keeps saying address not found no matter what link I click on. Is there anyone out there that might be able to help me? This tends to build up in an area near the 'home' position and turns into GUM after a while. This will gum up new cartridges as fast as you put them in. I like to call the little catch area a 'spit cup' and needs to be cleaned at least every three cartridges, before any extended non-use period and should involve cleaning the cartridge printheads with alcohol and covered with the plastic seal. I did see a video posted somewhere that showed how to clean those parts. The biggest issue I am having now though is that I am unable to use any function of the printer. As soon as I turn it on, it powers up and an error message appears. When I click on details on the pc, it says to turn off and on - done - clear cache - done - and clear paper jam in document feeder - there is none and I have opened and closed and check with flashlight and used compressed air in case and nothing.
