Hi Claire, Thank you for posting your query in Microsoft Community. Based on the issue description, I understand that you are unable to export a Sage 50 file to PDF file, in attempt to do so you get an error message: A required previlage is not held by the client. The probable cause for this issue could be due to permissions issues.

To understand this issue better, I would like to know the following information: 1. Is this error message specific to Sage 50 application or even with other applications? 2. Were you able to export this files earlier without error, have you made any recent changes to the computer prior to this issue? 3. Have you Windows login account has administrator privileges? This issue might occur permissions are not set properly for the C Drive. Make sure that you are logged in as Administrator.

May 06, 2009  I have a hp desktop and deskjet d1455. Windows update 2 weeks ago gave an optional update for hp deskjet printer. For a reason I don't know it failed.

Step 1: To take ownership of C Drive, follow these steps: 1. Right-click the C Drive and then click Properties. Click the Security tab.

Click Advanced, and then click the Owner tab. In the Name list, click your user name, or click Administrator if you are logged in as Administrator, or click the Administrators group. Click on Edit and then put a check mark against 'Replace all existing inheritable permissions on all descendants with inheritable permissions from this object'. Click OK, and then click Yes when you receive the following message: This will replace explicitly defined permissions on all descendants of this object with inheritable permissions from C-Drive (C:). Do you wish to continue?

Once the permissions are replaced, click on Ok. Check if you are able to copy, paste or delete any documents now. Step 2: If the above steps fail then you may also want to disable UAC and check if that helps. Click Start, type msconfig in the start search box, and then press Enter. Hp Jetdirect J8003e Firmware.
